I thought it was holding up above two, and negative news. and this thing goes below it's all time low. This stock is way oversold. Looks to me that someone is really trying to get rid of AMD for good. But out of the blue, any good news, like announcement of cash injection from Bill Gates, or something would cause this thing to pop. One thing is for certain, I'm in way too deep to sell at these losses. If it goes bankrupt. Screw it. I lost at Vegas. not selling...because I know they will not go bankrupt. someone will bail them out. someone with deep pockets that is already in too deep.
What's that, AMD's 15th 52 week low in less than a month?
AMD certainly can and will go bankrupt. It makes a lot of sense. AMD can emerge from Bankruptcy debt-free and be much stronger than continuing to slave for Arab bankers and its greedy former Fab division.
I'd say that bankruptcy during the first half of next year is part of the restructuring plan. Sadly shareholders will be wiped out too as part of the bankruptcy, but at least AMD will have a fresh start.
If your investment strategy's success depends on "out of the blue" situations or comparing it to Las Vegas, you have clearly become emotionally attached to your underperforming investments. Everybody makes decisions that sometimes don't turn out the way he or she envisions. IMHO, the worst thing you can do is to compound a mistake. Why not take a tax loss and re-invest the residuals into companies the market favors. AMD is not in that category at this time. The upcoming Globalfoundry-payment related pain isn't even priced on to the stock yet, IMO. It is more likely to se 1.35 than 2.50 or 3.00 in the next two quarters. Be practical. Las Vegas? At least you had fun there. The same cannot be said of AMD in the last year or so. Right?
