Every single quarter during this downturn, Intel has done much, much better than AMD. For example, Intel's revenue over the last 4 quarters was off 5% compared to the previous year. AMD, by comparison, was off more than 25% - 5 times worse off than Intel - for the same period.
This suggests that anything negative out of Intel, such as its slow Q1 guidance, will be 5x worse for AMD. I can see AMD hitting the lower end of its guidance, or even missing, and/or giving vague or weak forward guidance, ans falling 30-40% on the 23rd.
