When the Q2 earnings are released you can count on AMD giving a preannouncement on Q3 showing a profit. AMD always give a look into the current quarter (Q3) when earnings are released.
It will say something like this. Revenue for the Q3 is expected to come in with an increase in revenue of ______________precent and the company will be returning to being profitable.
Analysts will go wild giving upgrades. It will be all over CNBC and back on the radar of the street.
This will be just like Blackberry stock that was beat down by the shorts to record lows and not even being looked at the street. When that changed, the share price for Blackberry doubled in a number of days and had a triple in a matter of 2-3 months. It was all over CNBC and the talk of the street.
This same thing happened to AMD in 2009 where the share price rocketed up 440% in less than a year.
Q1 is done and we are not that far away from AMD breaking out of the trading range. Q2 is here. Looking forward to Q3 profits.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
You mean after it warns week after next of its big Q2 miss and inventory write-down, right? And after the Q2 trainwreck, who will believe AMD's projections for Q3? Let me rephrase that: who other than self-cornholers like you, will believe that?
