Clearly it has been exaggerated. Intel is still accumulating marketshare at AMD's expense and making huge mountains of profit selling CPUs for PCs. problem is, AMD with its inferior junk chips is losing both marketshare and money hand over fist, so it's not that the PC is dead. Rather it's AMD's PC CPU business that is dead.
think you are on the spot. i need a real keyboard to type. I guess you could buy a bluetooth keyboard for tablet, but then you have two unconnected pieces which is less wieldy. can't type on a tablet. need ability to press something down to type quickly and without errors. the only thing that could beat a keyboard is voice recognition which is still a complete mess no matter what they claim.
