was really... twice in past 10 years.. and will get there again.. they have a small float.. so when it catches fire.. it rises quickly. In the past it went as high as $97 when they first introduced the Athlon. just watch it rise..
Never going to happen. The CPU market of 2000-2005 is dead and gone. AMD killed it in a price war with Intel. Then AMD sued Intel over it. Then AMD blew the money on Fusion and died.
AMD is now a toy company, and the market for console chips is a tiny fraction of the market for desktop and server chips used to be, and AMD's margins across the board are a small fraction of what they used to be. AMD was way overbought at the peak, and it's got zero chance of coming even close to its real profits from that period.
This stock shouldn't be 40 cents, much less 4 dollars.
