BitCoin saved AMD's bacon, but BitCoin is out of tricks

AMD hardware no longer dominates BitCoin mining, so don't expect that miracle again.

Nothing AMD possesses...scratch that. AMD has no assets.

Nothing AMD has put on a roadmap will produce enough value to keep it afloat. It needed huge wins in console and ARM, and console is evaporating while ARM is being eaten alive by advance competition.

I will NEVER have to cover!

Seriously? Microsoft and Sony and AMD were pretending that game consoles were on sale for the last 2 months of 2013, when we all know they were actually on sale for 9 months.

HERE AR MORE OF HIS LIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yourbestfriendintheworld lied about AMD not having funds for ARM project

      yourbestfriendintheworld • Feb 11, 2013 7:51 PM Flag

How will AMD pay for ARM development?
Pumpers hate questions that point to AMD's real financial situation.
even lied about our servicemen and Xbox One

Xbox One may go nowhere at all.

It's being reported that Xbox machines will be useless to deployed servicemembers, owing to the ridiculous requirement to connect to the cloud every 24 hours. The box stops working if you can't get to an internet connection.

Microsoft is alienating one of its very best customer bases. And taking all of those AMD chips with them.

It just gets worse and worse for the prospects for AMD's continued sales of console chips

      Taiwan Earthquake Shuts Down TSMC
I hope everyone there is okay, but the equipment is damaged and it takes months before AMD can get its chips back into production.

Because hastening the end of this money pit is the best thing for the world's economy.

      March 27, 2013 -- 09:29 GMT

The report noted that workers at TSMC were evacuated at two sites after its emergency response was triggered. Michael Kramer, a spokesperson from the chip manufacturer, told the newswire one of the plants is located in Hsinchu where the company is based, while the other is in Taichung, central Taiwan.

Workers returned to work soon after and operations are not expected to be affected

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • This idiot doesn't even know the difference between Litcoin mining and Bitcoin.
It is like a clown who doesn't know the difference between Ag and Au on a precious metal market.

    • AMDs GPUs dominate Litecoin mining, not Bitcoin. They'll continue to do that until someone ACTUALLY PRODUCES something that will mine them better than them. Try to get something now and you find a lot of sites asking for deposits/preorders but nothing concrete on a release date or an actual working ability. It's reminding me of Kickstarter campaigns at the moment.

I have to see (I want to see) an actual working one sold before I switch over to them.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • You stupid fuck3r it isn't even Bitcoin it's litecoin. Get the name right if you aren't even going to post true facts

    • AMD never dominated "BitCoin mining" although they still do Dominated "LITECOIN" mining (sometimes referred to as "alt coin". Try finding any high end amd gpu i.e. r9 280x, r9 290, r9 290x in large quantities and for a reasonable price... The R9 280x's are being sold at 450+ when they are only worth around 350 and that goes for the 290/290xs they are all being sold at 100+ value because they very valuable for litecoin mining...
I would buy x3 280xs if I could find them for 300-350 or buy x2 290s if i could find that fro 400 but you just can't because they are selling too quickly at those prices.

I'm currently running 2 r9 280xs for my litecoin mining rig and its running amazing.

And what do you mean "It needed huge wins in console.. and console is evaporating while arm is being eaten"

Consoles will have huge rewards selling (projected) more then 40 million... How is that evaporating?
They already sold more then 8 million, reaping more then 130 million in PURE PROFIT, multiply that by 5 and you have a lot of money. Not only that, but they are going to get nothing but better at making the cards (making them for cheaper) thus increase there margins per unit sold.

How is ARM being eaten when qualcomm supports ARM and its snapdragen phone cpus do very well...
Haven't you seen intel struggle with its phone x86 architecture holding less then 1.5% of the market?

YBF stop spewing your #$%$ banter when you obviously don't know a thing.
I would like you to post a screen shot of your schwab/scottrade(whatever you use) account to see at what price you actually shorted and how much otherwise shut the #$%$ up because this is becoming ridiculous.

Litecoin is a joke. Soon, world governments are going to slap a fat tax on non-governmental currency trading, if not ban it altogether. They're certainly not going to put up with a slew of little pischer currencies. And a currency isn't worth anything if you can't pay your taxes in it.

ARM is being undermined by Intel. Qualcomm "supporting" ARM doesn't mean a damn thing. Intel has so much capacity it fallowed an entire new fab. Qualcomm couldn't make bare silicon for less than Intel spends to make phone chips, and Intel's phone chips are starting to pound ARM chips into the ground on performance. AMD will show up with something late and slow that will get lousy battery life.

Consoles are already obsolete. This generation is the first that doesn't compete with PC hardware, and the first to have to compete with mobile gaming. I've explained this several times. Nintendo just #$%$ the bed because of Wii sales. Xbox and PS4 played with the numbers, but did nothing truly impressive except convince a bunch of fanboys that 9 months of sales was 3 months of sales.

You keep on buying. I'll keep on selling. You want to know at what price? Just look at the ticker and I'm there. And I will be until the ticker no longer says "AMD" ever again.

      • Good job proving ybf/pissy to be liar! Bitcoin is not what saved AMD, but it did add to sells. You see how they spin ANY good news into bad news LOL
