I don't want my money to be cheated. if earnings/profits is not the ultimate criteria to own a stock, I want to get out. So Please let me know so I can get out. You can steal from other criminals, but I don't want you to steal from me.
You speak as if the folks on this board can predict exactly what's going to happen or they have so much capital, that they can move the stock. They don't. Be an investor and stick it out. You will get your money back. And for Christ sake, don't listen to those that day AMD will go BK! You're a loser if you sell. You haven't lost.
Seriously, who is the idiot that gave me a thumbs down. Look at the historical pricing and volumes you silly bafoon. When Vol. hits 8 or 9 million after earnings, the stock was dirt cheap! When it hits above the high 30's it's time to start selling. Duhh "At least tell me who U R"
By the way,,,,, you have to take the earnings of .06 for the Qtr and realize that for 4 qtrs. this is only .24 cents. If you divide the stock price by this number!!!!!!! You get the P/E ratio which should not be any higher than 15. That is why it sold off.
You honestly don't sound like you need to be investing. You either believe in the company or you don#$%$ that simple. No one knows where this will go. My GUESS is that it will not drop as low as it did last time around, and will be back up within 4-6 weeks...and then push higher than $4.50 prior to earnings. In all honesty, if you are being sincere here, then you should probably stick with mutual funds.
These big guys are powerful. The government keeps on saying cleaning up Wall Street. It has not done so. I got RENN at IPO, it was hyped to sell high. I bought it and now RENN sitting at $3.20 forever. Nothing to do with waiting. It is the criminal act that makes me want to vomit.
When there is plenty of fear... what do you do? I've seen stocks go from $24 to $4 then over $30 in a period of 3 years and in the tech/biotech sector even more volatile than that. If you can't stomach that, then you shouldn't be investing. This company has shares that have been discounted as if the company is halfway to bankruptcy, but the company is just turning around the past two quarters. Current market cap is around $3 billion with annual revenues of over $5 billion. The financials are trending up - look forwards not backwards.
Look. Stop trading this heap of burning trash. Close out, walk away, and put your money into some high-yielding preferred stocks, then just let it compound until you're retired. 8%/year is 4.6X over 20 years and 21X over 40 years. You turn a lousy $50K into a cool million doing that. Trading AMD just gets your money evaporated.
It could either start rebounding tomorrow, or it could fall for a few days, then start rebounding. I have no idea but I don't think it will go much below 200 day SMA
Sentiment: Strong Buy
