What a rich history this company has and for those that hate Kmart, i would like to ask you a question. Have you been in there lately?? Their prices and quality are also hard to beat. i was in there a couple weeks ago and bought a pr. of shoes at a great price and bought a 2nd pr. for half that price. Where do you find that at these days??
About five years ago at CHRISTmas time, target threw the Salvation Army bell ringers off their sidewalks. i've never been in a target store since that time and never will go in one again. CHRISTmas is about giving and not taking.
About 20 years ago, we picked out a couple of large families at Church and decided to make a small contribution at CHRISTmas. We wrap a 50 dollar bill around a large Hershey's bar and give them to each of the Children. Here's one response that came back from a 7 year old:
"Dear Mr. & Mrs. B Thank you for the money and the candy. Now my life is bright and dandy". Love and Prayers, Mary Kennedy
Shorts would get overconfident if they actually visited a KMart or Sears. I was in one of each in the last week. KMart still does a nice business although they only have one store left in the area. Store is dingy but had lines at the check out. Sears are in older malls around here. Half empty parking lots at the busiest shopping time of the year. Well Sears actually had some Christmas foot traffic. Go in there the rest of the year and it's a ghost town.
