Shld has gone ex-distribution. anyone now buying the shares is not entitled to the $4.58/share special distribution. this is why shld should be trading lower and not higher. anyone buying now at this price should be aware of this.
We're aware of this, but our theory tells us that the sum of the parts is worth more than $150 a share. We have done so well on the three prior spinoffs, that we now expect more spinoffs in the near future which combined with share price will total over $150. So we just keep buying until then. Shorts are learning 150 the hard way, which is why they're trying to buy back shares too. No sellers, all buyers means share price goes up
