    • The demand to borrow shares typically comes from hedge funds or short-sellers. (fast eddie is shorting shld)

    • You seem to be assuming that index funds and large holders don't lend out their shares to short. They can collect large fees for allowing their shares to be shorted. Why wouldn't they do it?

Disc: No position in shld. Long SSRAP which is a structured product that holds Sears bonds and passes through the interest as dividends to shareholders.

    • I'm truly sorry. But I don't think anyone with any values can help you understatnd. You have to seek out those without any values who do understand and they certainly aren't about to admit and explain it to you. They just covet your money. Nothing else in the world could be more important to them. What's a hundred thousand shares in that secrete wallet pocket.
