4 purchases from KMart. SHLD loses money on each deal.
My experience over the past 90 days. I was given free shipping for 90 days.
Then I was given 4 times, free bonus points ranging from $4 to $7 in value.
After each bonus I would buy some inexpensive products I needed.
Example, 4 Fruit of the Loom pocket T-shirts for $11 on sale. Minus a $7 bonus and then free shipping.
Leaving my cost at about $4.00 for 4 pocket t-shirts.
Another deal with free shipping and BOGO (buy one get one free) Long underware tops and bottoms.
Normal price $10 for each piece... But on special for $5, half price. Then BOGO, making each piece only $2.50..... then getting free shipping.
So I pay $10 for 4 separate pieces... shipped for free.
I have several other examples.
There is NO WAY SHLD made any money on any of my deals.
Just now they told me I'm all set up for another 90 days of free shipping.
As soon as they give me $4 or so of more bonus points, I'll order again.
I suppose they lose on every deal, but "We'll make it up on volume"..... Sure you will.
Seems no one is counting or caring about giving away the store.
On the other hand, without the inducements, I wouldn't have purchased anything.
I must say,, aside from being cheap, the customer service and delivery times were excellent.
Must be trying to duplicate the Amazon no-profit model.
In the first posted you said "no way they made money". In the second post you said "rather unlikely".
You contradicted your own statement. At the very best, you made a false statement, at the worst, you lied. Are you basing your opinion on speculation? Even if Sears told you the cost of each item, that would be hearsay, and inadmissible in court.
