I'm Having Second Thoughts about buying this stock

Judging from most of the posts here you guys are idiots. Though I could be wrong. Just because you guys are idiots doesn't mean mutual fund buyers don't see an opportunity here. Any thoughts?

    Sentiment: Hold

    • I've been a long time holder and not thinking of selling any. Long term LOW should keep going up, but it did double in the past two years, so not sure whether now is a good entry point.
I would consider buying more only if there was a major correction.

    • the ultimate idiot is one who seeks advice from the idiots on this forum .... you, vaiien2, are an über idiot.

    • so vaiien2, what is your conclusion based on the mixed sentiment here. I am a HOLD simply because I don't have the guts to buy more BUT I would never SELL this stock.

    • I buy most of my stocks for long term. I bought LOW a little over a year ago and I now have a 100% return on my investment.

If you can find a mutal fund that will do that, jump all over it.

      • On average, gains on investments in mutual funds underperform gains in major stock indexes. Thus, it is easier to pick a winning stock than pick a winning mutual fund. But to your strategy: I, too, buy and hold. But business cycles time my market entry and exit. I see the current market as being in the early stage of a new move to significantly higher levels. My guess is LOW will double, or very nearly double, again during the next two years. It is a rare opportunity.

    • All indicators point to significantly higher prices for LOW stock in the months ahead. Ignore the uninformed and "day trader" chatter. It is market noise and is irrelevant. The U.S. economy is moving up strongly, with housing and autos leading the way. (Business cycles always work this way.) Lowe's is a strong company, in a booming industry, in the early stages of a recovering economy. GDP=MV=PO=CIG says this could continue for a couple of years. Get long and stay long. Look beyond the next hour of trading.
