Here are the cars ZAAP manufacturing partner builds and sells in China.
No market in he US for these POS cars, but the Chinese love them! Most chinese use rusted old bicycles to get around, in some cases they will rig up small engines on their bikes, and there are some scooters. The market for these in China is huge, zero air pollution and tight turning radius! Perfect for weaving around bicycles and pedestrians in the middle of the streets.
There is a big confusion here !!
Yes,there are two completely different deals.Actually three ,don't forget the Obvio, also making its way to the world market.
The Xebra is a Zap Trademark/Patent (Zap announced this recently) and can be sold worldwide .Revenues go 100% to the company.
Stake, The SEC filings from 9/21/06 do not describe any profit-sharing agreement between Zap and Shandong Jindalu for sales of the Xebra. The JV is the manufacturer, and Zap is the international distributor. My understanding is that Zap maintains the option to purchase Xebras from SJ and re-sell them in China or anywhere else, pocketing the difference between the wholesale and retail prices. If anyone has information to the contrary, please chime in.
Where did the 25% figure come from? My understanding is that Zap controls 4899 out of 9999 shares in EV Holdings Ltd, or a 49% stake. However, EV Holdings will not be marketing cars in China, as this is Youngman's exclusive territory. Youngman will pay Zap directly 2% of revenue pursuant to the sale of cars from the JV in this region. However, to the extent that these cars are sold in Europe, for example, you are correct that Zap's effective take will reflect its factional ownership in EV Holdings. Please let me know if I got that right.
this is the model we should have here ----> Baoma Model

Just talking out loud here, but maybe someone else can join with relevant information. If ZAP paid 350k cash/options for 25% of the JV with this company, do they get 25% of all sales that roll off that production line?
Looks like this co is selling in China. Zap is the distributor for Americas, but do they also get a share of sales in China?
Always interested in honest discussion here, unfortunatley I do not know if ZAAP could earn profits from the chinese companies sells. Publically they have only stated that they are manufacturing the ZEBRA for Zapp, it is evident that the Zebra is/will be sold in China, but I do not know what this means for ZAPPs agreement.
