Holley Group and ZAp Hangzhou kicking in motion..

    (December 16, 2009)

Holley Group is the world's largest volume producer of electric power meters.

Named ZAP Hangzhou, the new company plans to design and manufacture electric vehicles and develop infrastructure technology for the Chinese market. ZAP, Holley Group and Better World have entered a joint venture agreement.

ZAP Hangzhou will combine ZAP's intellectual property, electric vehicle technology and know-how with Holley's experience in electric metering to develop electric vehicles and related technologies targeting the Chinese market. The companies plan to use their knowledge of the local Chinese market to target opportunities for electric vehicle growth within China’s vehicle fleets. As part of this relationship, ZAP Hangzhou plans to begin the installation of manufacturing operations at Holley’s Hangzhou facilities in the near future."

"The relationship with Holley is the next step in ZAP’s plan to deliver quality, cost effective electric vehicles to the fleet vehicle market" (2010)

"It is important to note that the purpose for my investment in ZAP earlier this year was to bring these companies together for the electric vehicle market opportunity in China," said Dr. Lu.(Zap Chairman)

"We have had a long standing working relationship with Dr. Lu and have confidence that under her leadership and experience in the Chinese market, ZAP will be able to approach this market effectively and competitively with innovative EV product solutions," said Holley Chairman and CEO Richard Wong.

    (November 15, 2011)

"Alex Wang, ZAP Jonway’s Co-CEO, stated: “Mr. Zhang’s urge to move the sales and customer support headquarters to Hangzhou provides the foundation for moving our EV manufacturing from Sanmen to a new EV plant in Hangzhou as well."

      • Why does everything take foreve with these guys.

I had hear about the Chinese joint venture for over two years.

If they really wanted to sell cars they would be doing it by now.

I still have to hear about one car actually sold but ALL we hear about is all the dealerships and how they are going to have a complete disctrict blanketed with their extensive networks of car dealerships.

        Blahh Blaaah Blahhh.

This crook Schneider is worthless when it comes to delivering a product.

The Chinese can't do anything with-out copying it.

Schneider can't make a helium baloon float nevermind electric cars run.

Think about it how long have you been hearing about this joint venture and how its going to work out well.

        Have they sold anything? No.

Do they have vehicles in show rooms? No.

Has any one in Santa Rosa every seen a ZAP EV? No

The Alias has been taking orders/reservations on ZAP website for over a year now. Has anyone actually taken delivery of the Alias? No

Great B.S. story; ranks amongst the best of them such as IMGG, CDCS and a several hundered other Chinese compnaies.
