Dan Niles was just on CNBC and said basically if Apple doesn't announce a higher dividend in cc, they will go down much further. He also said that Cook in last cc said their screen size is best and he doesn't think they will make a bigger screen phone. In last cc Cook also said they believe they make the best phone and don't think they need to make a cheaper phone. If Apple doesn't adapt quickly I would be surprised if they don't double their dividend may go below 300. On the positive, Dan indicated he thinks they will introduce a Smart TV this summer.
Apple needs to stay in the running with a bigger size screen iPhone, otherwise more and more consumers will go to Samsung. Why not offer a variety and let the consumer chose? This is what Samsung is doing and succeeding. Apple can no longer afford to be smug about it becuase the technology is advancing so rapidly it makes any company's edge today obsolete tomorrow. Apple needs to get back to being inovative and in the cutting edge of creativity and stop being so proud.

Yeah... I saw that! He also said that Tech companies are particularly vulnerable as their once hey-day products often become commodities or has-beens many times...
Real question for us here: Will Apple become a Blackberry? a Dell? a Microsoft? a Cisco?....or can it make some strategic changes and stay relevant and cool? IBM reInvented itself...but so few tech hardware companies like that!
