Homeowners in Creekhaven, a sub-division of Prince Creek in Murrells Inlet, SC were recently protesting changes i.e. vinyl siding rather than hardi-plank, lesser quality shingles, etc. that Ryland tried to make in the quality of the new houses going up in the community. Apparently the homeowners were attempting to hold Ryland to their verbal and written commitments. Ryland said they weren't backing down from the vinyl issue so this doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon.
Creekhaven residents have are once again protesting Ryland's use of inferior materials being used in all new construction. They are saying Ryland has broken previous promises reducing the value of existing homes by building lesser quality houses in the development. Looks like a trend making Ryland not the quality of builder buyers (and investors) are wanting.
