Anyone an investor w knowledge out there? I bought just over a year ago and have obviously been very happy with what has happened recently to the stock price, and am wondering, outside of the recent improved earnings report, what the reason is. Any info out there?
As an employee and stock holder things are finally changing. Home building part is starting to make good money by focusing resourses in growth areas of country. With rates low things should stay positive for next six months.
National inventory of new homes at near record lows. Falling interest rates. Falling material prices, ie lumber, insulation, etc. Land prices going up. Children of baby boomers are moving into home buying age. Long term positive for industry. Homebuilder stocks recently trading below book value. At previous peak RYL and others traded at 2X book value with 20% plus ROE. That is $40 plus based on current RYL BV. Some small homebuilders still trading below BV, ie WRTC, small Denver based homebuilder. Consolidation likely.
