and I don't want to take it anymore. I've sent the following to SFE IR: The pps($13.80) now is exactly the same as it was in July 2007. So as a shareholder I haven't gain one cent. Contrarily. the BOD and company officers have each enjoyed receiving from ~10 to 25,000 shares every year as bonuses over and above their salaries. The company coffers show about $180,000,000 net.
I have some problems with that scenario:
1. The accounting method you use will always show a net loss(except when a company is sold(rarely), which leaves the the publiuc to believe that the company is consistently losing money and the pps stays low.
2. The amount of shares that has been distributed over the 10 years I have owned the stock probably exceeds 2.5 million shares. At today's price that is equal to $34,500,000 the BOD and officers received as opposed to the shareholders who haven't received one penny.
3. Something smells!!!
Warren Buffet said it best. He said it's reprehensible when management prospers while shareholder's suffer. He must have been looking at SFE. These guys are getting huge pay packages for non-performance. I couldn't do any worse as than these guys have.
