The first time I walked into a Blockbuster, I hated it, and I've never changed my opinion. It was a step down from the mom-and-pop rental places, IMO: cold, ugly, with a much more institutionalized feel at checkout.
That said, I believe that *all* of the traditional rental houses will suffer against NFLX. I returned what I hope will be my last movie ever rented from the local place last night.
On my way out, as one of the many spoiled, unfriendly teenagers who work there looked at me as though I were the cause of all of his pain, I thought to myself, "yes, I'm free of this shitty place."
