Good day for Reed's automatic sale

Again with the insider sale hype? Wow, you've really uncovered important news there. Except that Hastings still owns 2,807,848 shares. You moron.

    • Hey, Secra. Thanks for your response and your label of me as a moron. I am only looking at this POS because I have to. I manage a 3.2 billion portfolio, I am a CFA and senior portfolio manager with close to 20 years experience. I think I know how to analyze stocks. Among many factors we look at is insider selling. It is one of many, many factors. There are many other factors that make this stock unattractive right now. I think one of the things holding it up at $20 is the unrealistic belief by some that it is going to be taken out by someone like Amazon. If it were a take out candidate it is unlikely that insiders would be selling. In my experience, companies that get taken out see insider selling stop months before take outs occur. Good luck owning this POS, secra; it may be long haul for you. For now there are many better opportunities for my portfolio to own. But I continue to follow it only because I have to.

We know nothing about you except you're clearly short, because you well know Hastings' sales of stock represent 1 or 2% of his 2.8 million shares of NFLX, are a programmed trade scheduled long ago, and are meaningless. Many, many heads of companies sell small positions of stock all the time. It is a corporate perk, essentially part of their salary, and entirely ethical and legal. If Hastings were selling off 2 million shares, that would be different, but we're not anywhere near that galaxy, Ensign. It's just the kind of silly nonsense a short brings up. How sad that you really think posting it on a yahoo board is going to make one iota of difference in the stock price.

      • As a fellow CFA designation holder (and remember you can not call yourself a CFA there slick)PLEASE do not sully the CFA trademark with that kind of nonesensical insider trading argument! You mention Amazon...gee, Jeff Bezos has been selling his stock for years and yet it is a fantastic investment! Oh, and btw, a little better known CFA holder, Bill Miller, owns BOTH AMZN and NFLX!!!! I think I will take my cues from Bill - thank you very little!

      • please tell us about the $3.2 billion portfolio that you manage. anything we could verify?

      • I'm guessing 24 years old. Anyone want the over or under bet?
