1B for 90 day delay releases from 3 crappy studios = FAIL!

    LOL how ridiculous is this!?

Now that net neutrality is dead and the providers can meter as they see fit I'm sure all that streaming will end up in either a nice hefty profit at the expense of Netflix. Or, Netflix will pass the additional expense on to the customer which in turn will once again be at the expense of Netflix.

Enjoy your house of cards while you can, it is coming down very soon!

NETFLIX CRIME SCENE: REED HASTINGS AND HIS CRIME PARTNER ANALYST CRIMINALS HAVE NOT COMMENTED ON EPIX SCAM DEAL EFFECTS =VE OR -VE AND WHY?

THESE CRIMINALS COME UP WITH SCAM TARGET PRICE FOR $7B BALLOON PUMP but have failed to make any adjustment to their scam Research reports. Reed Hastings EPIX deal creates margin hell and will make it very expensive to renew StarZ streaming rights next.

REED HASTINGS CRIMINAL HAVE BEEN BUSY DUMPING FREE LOOT OPTIONS AND SHORT SQUEEZE SCAM VIA BUY BACK WITH DEBT CASH AND USING REVOLVING LINE OF CREDIT FOR HIS GREED LOOT.

REED HASTINGS IS MASTER PLANNER AND EXECUTIONER OF THIS SCAM BUBBLE FOR LOOT

      More on EPIX deal:
Netflix-Epix Deal "Expensive," Suggests Starz Deal May Not Be Renewed

Netflix's new deal with Epix, a premium TV network, is being hailed as a positive deal to bring more streaming content to Netflix's movie streaming service.
So it's interesting to see some contrarian viewpoints, courtesy Brian Fitzgerald and Brian Pitz, analysts for UBS.
In a note today, they say:
      The Epix deal "appears expensive."
At a reported price nearing $1 billion, it's much higher than typical pay TV output deals, which the analysts peg around $200 million to $300 million.
Meanwhile, for its fee, Netflix only gets streaming rights -- not TV rights.
The 90-day window before Netflix can stream the movies "reduces the value prop" for Netflix.
And Netflix doesn't get some new releases and large DreamWorks titles like "Shrek," because of a separate deal between DreamWorks and HBO.
Meanwhile, the Epix deal suggests Netflix may not renew its big deal with Starz. The current deal -- in which Netflix is paying only a tiny amount -- could end up a $200 million per year renewal, "which would significantly cap/pressure gross margin in 2011+," the analysts write.
But the Epix deal doesn't replace Starz from a content point of view because of Starz' newer and original programming. So Netflix either needs to pay up for Starz or settle for a weaker streaming service.

    • youtube revolution

KGO-TV partners with YouTube for local news

ABC O&O KGO-TV San Francisco isn’t getting rid of its own camera crews, but it is tapping into a vast resource of camera-equipped citizens. The station has teamed up with YouTube to collect videos and photos from throughout the market.

“This is the first time that YouTube teamed up with a local television station,” said YouTube News Manager Olivia Ma as she announced the launch of the ABC7 uReport powered by YouTube.

People in the Bay Area are being invited to either email their videos/photos to KGO or upload them at uReport.abc7news.com. Newsworthy submissions will be featured on air, on the abc7news.com website and on the station’s YouTube channel.

In announcing the joint project with YouTube, KGO noted that the video sharing site was already known for being the site of important news videos from local people, including the snapping of support cables on the Bay Bridge, the fatal shooting of a man by an Oakland police officer and fights on the local bus system.

RBR-TVBR observation: Not a completely new idea, since lots of stations have been soliciting viewer news videos for some time now. But getting YouTube as a partner is new. There’s nobody bigger when it comes to aggregating videos from the public.

      Future headlines:
Disney renegotiating Starz deal, might pull movies from Netflix streaming

StarZ to demand $200m per year streaming for 2011 and ebyond

hot on the heels of Warner forcing Netflix to accept delayed DVD rentals in exchange for better streaming terms, Disney and Starz are reportedly renegotiating their deal, and blocking Netflix is one of the terms. Most new releases on Netflix right now are part of the StarzPlay package, and the studios don't get a cut, since they've already sold those rights to Starz. As we all know, the studios aren't big fans of not getting a cut, so what Disney is trying to do is block Netflix from dealing with Starz and force it to license streaming rights directly -- not the end of the world and certainly not impossible, but a move that has the potential to disrupt service and raise prices. As of right now, things are status quo and no one's talking on the record, but we've got the feeling there's a shakeout coming -- stay tuned.

THE BOMB THAT WILL BLOW UP SUCKERS NEXT

As the Epix deal reminds us, the company doesn’t generate its own content. Its streaming technology isn’t proprietary (Hulu and YouTube have it).

At the end of the day, subscribers are Netflix’s greatest asset

NOW IF STAR Z DEAMAND $180M FOR STREAMING DEAL, WHAT HAPPESN TO:
      MARGINS?
      CASH FLOW?

Hastings already wiped out all cash and used DEBT for this Bubble scam for quick loot with massive zero cost stock options enrich scheme. $200m Debt and current earnings not enough for EPIX and what about StarZ by End of 2010?

      THE BOMB:
But Netflix should tread carefully in tinkering with its more than 15 million subscribers. As the Epix deal reminds us, the company doesn’t generate its own content. Its streaming technology isn’t proprietary (Hulu and YouTube have it).

    • Comcast: Hi there Netflix, good to see one of my major competitors is enjoying those new fat pipes I spent millions on installing to beef up my customers internet access.

Netflix: Ah.., ummm.., yes but we are one of the reasons you have new customers because they want internet access to use our service.

Comcast: Yes, yes well that might be but seeing how you are also costing me more and more money by forcing me to increase my infrastructure to provide all this needed bandwidth I think it is time we *manage* your bandwidth. I mean it's only fair since we already provide a similar service you do.

Netflix: That's not fair! I'll..., I'll..., take you to court!

Comcast: Go ahead, oh wait this has already be done and guess what you lose!

Netflix: Well at least I've got my good buddy Verizon and Fios to count on.

      Verizon: I'm with Comcast

    • Well like I always said this is a long term short. You have some big money playing with the stock and will screw the logical shorts. Sure its not worth more then $50 but what does it matter to those who can prop it up to make money off the shorts. This is one stock not to buy or short. Just go away and leave it alone unless you want to short long term.

By the way it is #1 in IBD. Every time a stock hits #1 it is about done.

However, maybe we won't go to movies anymore and Netflix will deliver new movies to our TVs. hmm...
