Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) Message Board

I got Suckered into this mornings rally at 173.2

I hope they do the usual pump on this so I can get out and take a small profit. It seems to be going back to 170 all the time, I hope I am not holding the bag.

    • Nice call, I see you play options, I have yet to indulge in options, Im not on that level yet. I made 10K trading Netflix from 102 UP. Ill start doing options when I double that, there will be allot of pain that I will have to go through until I figure out the whole option trading.

    • Cool book, right?...not only talks nice...but talks angry and mean and makes ugly crystals! I hate to admit how much I also trade on intuition...and, like you, have pulled the trigger too soon sometimes. Someone gave me good advice when he said his 'secret' to doing well in the market was to avoid being greedy...meaning get in and out with profits without trying to time for max gains. I did such with CSTR last week...$890 in calls to $5300 the next day...and sold immediately.

I'm taking a chance with calls on RVBD right now...due to split 2/1 this coming Tuesday. We shall see...:-)

    • I saw that one, a man talks nice to a glass of water, freezes it under a microscope to find beautiful crystals under the microscope. There is powers we cant see in our universe. Sometimes I buy and sell stocks on gut feelings alone, "use the force LUKE" I am almost always correct but sometimes I would sell to early due to lack of trust in my gut feelings and watch the stock climb much higher, today I am less stressed when a stock goes the other way because 100% of the time it goes back even higher, patience is Key but I wont deny how frustrating it feels when the stock turns on you seconds after your purchase.

    • Yeaaaah, baby! From obsession to your reality. So be it! :-)

    • Good for you. I've started to doubt myself after being burned w/NFLX & what I expected in the short term.

    • I'll look it up sounds interesting. OK so I'm picturing the vault doors bulging open with little red envelopes full of money with my name on them and a Christmas card from my new good friend Reed!

    • Ha! Though disappointing, I'm increasingly convinced that people can be pretty dumb...

Not to get too airy-fairy...(is it too late for that?)...but if you really want to apply pos thinking to increasing wealth...just focus on a huge amount in your bank account--then leave it to the universe to figure out how it gets there! :-)

There's a series of books, one of which called "The Secret Life of Water" that scientifically proves(and has photos) how different thought imposed on water caused markedly different crystal formations. Needless to say...I'm a believer... :-)

Crossing everything right now while we wait for those reports...GLTY...and to all!

    • Now THAT's funny! With you pos thinking $300 and me pos thinking $2 ---and everyone in between---maybe it really will hit $150!!! LOL....

    • Totally agree. In the video there is a bald guy discussing how this force or whatever it is works. I couldn't help but laugh at the irony. Here he is telling how you can get anything you desire you just have to believe! Does he really want to be bald, picture the clown look, I don't think he does. I keep telling myself reason will prevail and Net will drop back to a "reasonable" share price, probably putting too much hope in people to not repeat the dotcom insanity!

    • Interesting video, positive thinking can change the universe. Well I guess their is some truth about the video. Ill try and think Netflix at 300 right now, yes I can feel it also. I am not even going to answer the phone when margin call starts, lol
