hey guys-there is also sell side pressure--less than the buyside due to the size of funds, but remember- this was in the 400 and those managers will be selling. this is not a straight index fund addition.
Good point. Especially considering that shares are bought for S&P tracking funds on a market cap-weighted basis. So it goes from being one of the larger components of midcap index trackers to something like #470 on the S&P 500, representing less than a tenth of one percent of the index.
