As a sub since October this is absurd.. Done. Good luck.. Back to Redbox
My, you are a delicate flower, aren't you. How did a downward revision of Netflix' subscriber numbers drive you to this decision, exactly? Were you afraid the wait for in-demand DVDs would be too short?
Wow.. I'm so sorry.. I can only hope you took my advice back when this was still just a hair under $300.. Poor delicate soul..
To all the real folks here .. Hang in there. Only the strong survive. This is only money. Life is so much more important than a stock. Things always get better.
I'm really sorry to all the real guys and girls here that invested in this company and lost all their money. I hope you did at least recognize that people started canceling when this was first announced to the customers such as my first post. Offer stands to my buddy randomposter tho if you need something maybe I can help you out. Best of luck..
sorry but this stock is the delicate flower.. my life has nothing to do with this but I will help you with a can of soup if you need it.. just PM me.. I really feel for you if you didn't get out when the subscribers spoke back in July.. just gettin what they deserve..
Cannot afford 25 cents a day! Give me a break!
Actually just sold my house and buying waterfront in NJ.. has nothing to do with cost but principle and pure greed. Not a necesary service and dated big time. Certainly not worth the % hike. Can't even get a new release..
Today is just a speed bump.
yeah when u first get netflix u think this is great. After u dig around and watch a few movies you realize ....why did I do this ..selection is weak and so is the streaming quality. Almost everyone I know is cancelling.
Go rent one of those Redbox year old movies. They have about 360 of them. And if you read all the news the contract with Stars doesn't end until next March!!!! I guess you're just a basher anyway and never even had a sub. If you did have a sub it was a pretty dumb thing to do wasn't it? Now you can go through the entire winter driving over to Redbox.
Wow.. I hope you guys/gals listened to folks like me while it was still just under $300 and got out then.. I really feel for you if you didn't.. really not cool. Wish all the best.. sincerely..
Ouch.. Someone is having a bad day.. Hope you are not long on this mess. Have a good holiday.. Good luck to you if you are long. Hang in there ... Ya never know. Things could come back but then again it could keep dropping. All part of the game as long as it is not needed money.
Me too. I was on the fence as well and this did it for me.
Sure hope you guys/girls listened to me back then and took your profits??? I am not long nor short just a customer NFLX decided to take a dump on and here is your end result. Not me getting dumped on anymore..
I have been a Netflix subsciber for more than 10 years. Lately the company is getting extremely greedy and giving less and less and charging more and more. Now you have to go to a local store to get new movies because they can't rent many of them for 30 days. I have enough with this greedyness and cancelling my subscription and I urge all of you to do the same for at least for 1 month as a protest against this unjust price increase.
Still feel for those guys/girls that didn't get out way back then.. sorry.. have a good holiday.. kind of what NFLX did to me on my b-day.. dumped
The price of your Unlimited Streaming + 1 DVD out at-a-time (Unlimited) plan will change to $15.98 (plus any applicable tax) a month starting with your next billing period on or after Sep 01, 2011
Why should I keep it for?
I will be canceling my service as well or downgrading to downloading only. Their DVD selection is garbage; I never can get a newly released dvd anyways. Now that this company is taking advantage of its customers, it needs to go.
Ok I will keeping the streaming, but cancel the Red Envelopes. I want my new releases earlier and since I watch 4 new releases a month (approx) I will stream them from Zediva, (for $1 a movie with the 10 pack offer (same movies as the NetFraud DVDs at the same release date with no wait in the mail). Or I'll pay the Comcast, etc. if I really want to see something a month earlier than NFLX.) Yes, I will pay a premium for content that is 30 days earlier than NFLX ..... As I said before I love the idea of the NFLX old time movie streaming library. Worth every penny of $7.99 per month, no doubt. Over the winter holiday I love to watch the old ones with the kids, (Holiday Inn, It;s a Wonderful Life, etc.). Of course I could save some money if I just pay per view those gems for 99 cents - $2 at any Redbox, AMazon or iTune. but the $7.99 is fine for now... until their content falls off... hmmm... wait... it's already doing that.
Lets see what earnings spin they put on this thing. Can someone explain what the rational was for the announcement today? Yesterday they were pitching a cheaper service to grab market share. Today they pitch ... forget it. It's a momo stuck for now.
