Hello all! I am new to NFLX as a stock, but I have been a long time subscriber. Let me preface all this by saying that I have not done ANY research on the stock, and don't own any shares. The only reason I am posting is to say that in my opinion splitting the company into two as proposed is absolutely a great idea. The DVD mailing part will go by the wayside very soon, and I believe management sees it coming. The future is all in the streaming service. I think they upped the price to upgrade servers and prepare for that future.
Admittedly, I am about four beers in, and probably not thinking too straight, and like I said, I have not done ANY research on this company. So you guys feel free to school me. I will do more research in the AM, but I may buy some very long term calls as I believe this strategy will pay off within 6 months to a year.
All thoughts (even harsh criticism) are welcome and appreciated.
So, does anyone have any good guesses on a bottom for this? The chart doesn't show any solid resistance ANYWHERE!! Right at $100 is the closest I see, but man that's one hell of a drop. TA isn't my thing though. Any ideas?
well written article and it sounds like you are very close to want to buy a little at this level. I wish i would have waited a little longer to buy. I bought in too big of chunks and should have nibbled at it
Hey music_man...your NFLX evaluation is admirable into future. However, since you are 4 beers into writing about your affection for NFLX...drop the loyalty...for now...buy PUTS until this NFLX baby decides to hit a supportive bottom.
Take profits, then put on the "NFLX Guy Next Door Call Cap."
This NFLX baby has been thrown out of a 20 story window...WITHOUT A DIAPER !!!
DOWN FURTHER NFLX !!!!
Good point .. maybe I should wait. But I just don't want to get greedy and try and time it just right. I just think long term it's a good investment. Also, I don't want to buy puts because IMO when it does bounce, it will bounce hard. I should absolutely wait 'til I'm sober though, lol! Talk to you all tomorrow if you're on - after I've done some research.
