    The Disney Impact already happening

According to Instantwatcher (dotcom) the most popular Netflix streaming videos in the last 24 hours were:

    1. The Nightmare Before Christmas
    2. The Muppet Movie
    3. Alice in Wonderland
    4. Dumbo
    5. The Aristocrats
    6. Pocahontas
    7. The Fox and the Hound
    8. The Great Mouse Detective
    9. James and the Giant Peach
    10. The Rescuers Down Under

Each and every one a Disney property.

This impact is RIGHT NOW, not 2016. These videos are immensely popular and that popularity doesn't seem to decline with age. They're classics which means "first class" --- yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Shorts, these results from instantwatcher are an early warning for a huge increase in Netflix subscriber growth.

    • These sound like some great movies for Zakwill. No wonder he is such a fan of NFLX. He doesn't have to pay any more than he already does and he benefits from Reed's decision to spend $350M a year to watch Dumbo all he wants again and again. How is making these movies available going to lead to a "huge increase in Netflix subscriber growth"? If you were talking about some Pixar, etc. movies that kids actually wanted to watch then maybe but even then no way you can justify the price. My guess is that 99% of the volume in the 24 hour period in the 10 titles you mentioned was from their EXISTING sub base.

      Sentiment: Strong Sell
