From seeking Alpha: "Amazon might be losing $500M-$1B per year from Amazon Prime and singing content deals, but Jeff Bezos sports a market cap of $130B, more than 10 times that of Netflix. He can afford to spend that kind of money in Amazon Prime for a long time, probably long enough to take NFLX bankrupt."
Very possible. Netflix is a one trick pony. It is very weak. Amazon can make money some where else while keeping streaming price unprofitable low until Netflix is bankrupt. And even some ISPs are providing free streaming too. There is no money in this space. The ISPs can make money by charging for the internet connection while providing streaming as a free service to customers as a lure to get customers, Netflix cannot do that without going bankrupt. That is why Netflix profit is so tiny and unstable despite its increased sales.
