Yeah, 10s of millions are gonna flock in to subscribe NFLX now, just so they can see what their friends are watching, personally I wouldn't even want to be criticized by my Facebook buddy on the movies I watch! I thought it was kind of a privacy invasion!
You guys think way too small. People in other countries will eat this kind of stuff up. How do you think that NFLX exposed to 1 billion people is bad? You guys just hate this company. This will be very good for Europe and the rest of the world. Forget America! Just having 1 billion people reminded of NFLX will be huge!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
It's not a big deal to get NFLX on FB, everyone can pay a small fee to get their logo on it. The only place they may get a little more growth is North Europe and U.S, even that the growth rate is diminishing, With 10 millions subscriptions in U.S that's almost everyone has access to NFLX, since you only need one service per household, else where in Europe people are struggling with ends meet, same thing with south America, and I suspect they could watch the old movies on free online services. Plus there are like only one million people living in Northern Europe, China has already have established on line media like Youku. So tell me where else are they gonna go now??
What kind of build out costs will be associated with NFLX actually reaching those 1 billion people? This is an advertising deal with little immediate revenue impact.....and again....how much are they paying FB for this "alliance"?
I read the release, and think about it, and I can't see how it doesn't benefit FB by getting the millions of NFLX subscribers to create more reasons for views of FB garbage ads vs anyone running out to subscribe to NFLX because i can share that i watch honey boo boo and porn movies on NFLX. How many people need NFLX link to FB to share they watch the Kardashians?
