Reaction to Movement of Date for Release of Year-End Results
I would've thought that the company's decision to move the date of its quarterly/year-end results and cc would've cause a sell-off in the stock price bc it kind of suggests the company doesn't have its #$%$ together, but the stock is up today (versus an otherwise off market). Not complaining, just weird to me. Anyone have any thoughts??
I contacted investor relations and they called me back. I was told that reason for change was a problem with a 3rd party involved in the call....I guess the pr firm that handles or some other facilitator. The lady stated that it was a fair question......no #$%$ Anyway....I figured i'd ask her if earnings were gonna be good and she laughed and said she couldn't comment.....I said I had to try. Anyway, was impressed and thankful they called back. I'm gonna sit tight thru earnings.
Hmmm . . . what time did you call them, given that they have changed the date yet again, this time to Monday. I'm now thinking that "granicus's" evaluation might be prescient - they are about to announce something and want to have it disclosed in advance of the call. The Shell deal is what I'm thinking.
