Louisville Courier-Journal 9/17 "Corrections Corporation also experienced riots in July at prisons it runs in Colorado and Mississippi � both of which house out-of-state inmates. The company, which operates three private prisons in Kentucky, also had a nine-hour riot in 2001 by inmates at its Otter Creek Correctional Complex in Floyd County, which housed Indiana inmates. (CCA Spokesperson Louise) "Chickering said the company doesn't believe adding prisoners from another state was the cause of the uprisings. "We have had out-of-state inmates at numerous facilities for many years without incident," she said. === From the Nashville City Paper 8/11/04: "Also on Sunday, The Arizona Republic quoted Arizona Department of Corrections Director Dora Schriro as saying that CCA�s 'poor management' of the Diamondback Correctional Facility in Watonga, Okla., led to a riot there in May. So, Arizona is bringing back inmates housed there under a CCA contract. ==== (The riots in Missisippi featured Colorado cons, in Oklahoma Hawaiians also, in Colorado it was Wyoming and Washington state, and in Tennessee, Vermont inmates.)
