Also life start to get a little more difficult in searching for income estimates for PZN. I've found most, in fact all, of the on line sites I know DON'T have FFO data, only EPS data which doesn't mean much. Does anyone know of a site that offers FFO's estimates by the street? I guess it's back to digging away in 10-K's and 10'Q's.
I'm sure this will be a constant confusion for new CCA people wondering how the hell you pay $1.92 dividend with an EPS of less then that. Welcome to the world of REIT's and GAP verses REIT accounting.
Also for those that care the small cap PI for Wellington had a few interesting REIT picks in Barron's. Canadian Hotels and Legacy Hotels, 16% and 12% yields, both are based in Canada. And if your like me and you believe the "inflation currencies" like the AUD and the Cand. Dollar have had these last licks, the currency boast mind be a good kicker. The currency drop has caused a big boom in tourism up north he says. And I know from a trip in the summer the Hotel rates DON'T reflect the other cheap prices.
flipper, the Research area of Yahoo! for PZN says EPS but because the numbers are so large (something like $2.76 for 1999) I assumed Yahoo's stated eps numbers for REITS were actually FFO numbers. Thoughts?
