There's too much politics and criminal theory to wade through on this board these days. I'm more interested in hearing some discussion of the settlement of the class action suit that will be going on in Tennessee courts during the next 30 days. Seems the preferential treatment of CCA execs in conjunction with the merger is being rescinded and other compromises reached with regard to the merger. Does anyone have an opinion on what this will mean for PZN's movement this year?
This spam we are getting on the PZN message board about politics and criminal punishment theory from the new folks is taking up a lot of space. When I see certain posts, I have begun to just skip them. They are out of character for the intention of this board, which is to share information on PZN.
The suit was settled last year. Notice was sent to shareholders as members of the class and as a supplement to the proxy. It was also discussed on this thread.
The concessions were meaningless, and won't affect the price of PZN one way or the other (and didn't affect CCA or PZN at the time it was announced). All that's left is for the attorneys to figure out how to get paid.
