PZN's BOD is scheduled to meet today (Thursday, 3/04/99) to consider the quarterly dividend. It is anticipated that it will be increased from the current quarterly rate of $0.48. The announcement of the BOD's decision could be published tomorrow (Friday, 3/05/99).
It appears that PZN's shares outstanding did not increase during the month of February, marking the second month in a row that sales were not made to HSBC.
However, shares outstanding as of Wednesday, 3/03/99, had increased by 1,444,259 shares to a current total of 106,717,852 shares, according PZN a market capitalization as of yesterday's (Wednesday, 3/03/99) close of $19.9375/share of $2.128 billion. Contrast this with the inaccurate data Market Guide continues to furnish to Yahoo.
In addition to the erroneous market cap shown for PZN by Market Guide, its ADV is similarly erroneous. The correct ADV through yesterday, 3/03/99, is 475,212 shares per trading day.
Does anybody know what PZN's position is with their subsidary TransCor America? I know they transport prisoners, but are they going to keep them in their portfolio since they restructured into a REIT? Are they profitable to PZN?
