It's interesting that Acampora mentioned HOT as his favorite REIT. It no longer functions as a REIT - it was a paired share that combined (the REIT is now a sub of the mgmt company I believe, thus no REIT "benefits"). Dividend was reduced dramatically. But stock has done well; I think it was around 19 last fall, now in the mid-30s.
Also interesting that Marty Zweig was there. He was a 5%+ shareholder of CCA prior to the merger announcement last year; I think he sold out (or at least down).
