    Statistical trivia re: ADV

    see 3647 and 3648. The latter is particularly
    interesting in that they state only "profesional" corrections
    officers are welcome, and that automatically excludes
    private corrections officers. That sort of demented logic
    is evident in their postings on this thread. They
    are no more than anti-privatization goons, trying to
    protect their lives on the public teat. As a taxpayer,
    I'm pissed that the organization even exists. Go
    away.

    The real battle of privatization v.
    public management deserves to be fought in the market
    place. As soon as I see public facility wardens getting
    laid off for incompetence, or union guys subject to
    merit pay, I'll know that public facilities can compete
    with private ones.

    P.S. CUSA isn't a union.
    They are a lobbying organization that seems to exist
    solely to fight privatization in every venue and by any
    dirty tactic they can come with. Fine, guys, do it, but
    not on this message board.
