Sorry, guys; I've read all the posts but I'm too tired to go back and answer this question: where did the idea of a strategic investor for OPCO come from? I could see it for PZN, but not OPCO. After the fateful changes announced in May, OPCO's pretty much set. PZN needs the money for dividends and capex. They also could use a new face for credibility.
FWIW, OPCO can either be public (independent)or private (contolled, as is now the case). I prefer to have a tenant to whom I dictate the terms of the leases. Actually, I would prefer that they merge, cut the dividend by 1/2 or 2/3 and not be a REIT (a la HOT). It's choking them. RP, I know you're more than sympathetic to that. Then again, at this point, I'd be happy continuing to get the big dividends. Kind of a pact with the devil sort of thing, though.
