I understood that last year Doc told the wardens that their OPCO stock would make them millionaires, so your point is accurate.
But one could say so what? They might have become millionaires through stock options if CCA had remained a single company, too.
Sure, OPCO will have value in the future. The 1% net escalators won't add as much as new management only contracts.
But an OPCO increasing in value isn't necessarily sinister or dishonest as cleo and PW and others have suggested. It's a necessary carve-out of value for the people who make it all work, and ultimately would have been insignificant relative to PZN's value. Nonetheless, it's just too complicated.
