check my recap and correct where
indicated:
With 100M bonds at 12.25, down from 400M (due to
excess cost of funds), LOC expanded from 650M to 1000M
(at the price of 'enhanced' rates), (some) improved
transparency wrt CCA, the last (.55+.05) dividend paid in
cash, the yapping law-hounds still chasing their tails
in the kennel, and Mike Q. replacing the old guard
at OPCO, the most interesting remaining question (to
me) remains whether the 'Strategic Investor' will be
brought on, or whether the 'special' will be in some
non-cash (pick one from column A or one from column B)
form. Since, for all intents and purposes, Doc has the
draft pick in his pocket, it seems only reasonable that
he will not bring on board anyone likely to be
sufficiently assertive to cause him (more) grief down the
road. This is why I believe that opting for the
non-cash special is a bigger negative than many might
suppose. It's really important to get a strong, confident,
and knowledgeable voice added to the chorus.
Dissonance may 'jazz' up the board, and keep Doc's attention
focused on foresight: it's isn't a pure case of 'what
have you done for us lately', but he does seem to have
been resting on his (arguably well-deserved) laurels
more than we can afford.
Does this make PZN
more appealing to the buy-it-and-park-it IRA
investors, who can easily afford a 2, 3, or even 4 year
timeframe of longer-term rebuilding while collecting
(tax-free) returns?
Even with a dividend cut to 1.35,
and common appreciation to 13.50, you have 10% yield
plus capital appreciation. Are these numbers
conservative enough to make a tradeoff of decreased
Beta/decreased yield scale non-linearly? Or are there enough
buyers still out there in the high yield/high Beta camp?
The clear decrease in ADV could be taken as an
indication that PZN is somew
the management of the Company. We have a stock
with outstanding unrealized potential. There is just a
super lack of confidence in the Management. This is
reflected in the covenents of the loan agreement. The
lenders are trying to corral Doc and herd him in. They
want to force change on the present autocratic
management. Doc has been running the Company(s)
single-handedly and, as of late, since the merger, has not been
big enough for the job.
The technical analysis
isn't going to matter much. Management must change if
the stock is going to take an upturn. That's written
in stone.
all of the law firms that are suing PZN. Stephens
and Bradford got $7MM for their "fairness" opinion.
How many of us stockholders would agree with the
"fairness" of the PZN deal ?
Professor Thomas got $3MM
for his "appraisal" of a stock that went from $40 to
$9, we stockholders didn't benefit from his
appraisal.
Arthur Andersen and Stokes and Bartholemew
were certainly asleep at the switch as concerned the
interest of we stockholders. How much money did Doc pull
out, right under their noses, without a peep out of
them ?
These folks ought to have to share in the
losses that we stockholders will have to pay to clean up
this mess.

I bought in June under 11 and have been waiting
to round up my position, at least. Watching the
technicals is easy compared to following these posts. Lots
of good thinking and analysis. My view of the
technicals is that certainly no signals exist that say buy.
At best, the downtrend is broken and behind us, but
from a timing aspect, the upside now outways the
downside pressures, IMO. Buyers are not likely to be
concerned about jail unrest; it's like a winter storm to
the airlines, and unlikely to affect profits in a
meaningful way, or growth for that matter.
Probably
OK to buy now.
Regards.

the similarity of reogranda's grammatical mistakes, patterns of mispelling, and insults to those of follow_the_reit? What some call "internal evidence."
TA not my strength but sure looks like a bad 5 day chart to me. Especially when you consider that down move has "fundamental" news behind it - the cc obviously not well received.
I think both of your statements are incorrect.
The chart has not looked good since "the fall". It
has looked OK, but not good. The MACD is not
positive. Bollinger bands do not look good. I think we'll
drop to at least 11 1/2 before moving up again. I do
anticipate some activity near the gap at 15.5--hopefully
sometime soon. Though we've had great percentage gains,
there has been no convincing rally on volume.
looks very good to me as seen on clearstation. the MACD is positive and the stocastic is oversold. Looks good unless a negative story comes out or these prison problems overweigh the chart.
Taking into consideration the 50000 shares Crants
and the 20000 shares Charles W. Thomas bought in May
around 13 $ I ask myself the question : Do they know
more than us or are we simply too short term oriented
with this stock. It seems that all the board has
bought.Any comments?
