new here...
what do the prospects for this company look like in 6-12 mos? Being in real estate I know what's happening in the market and that can't bode well for title insurers... possibly looking to short.
how's the management and reputation of this company?
<burp>
I am dizzy from all this trading activity.
3000+ sh. today so far...
now volume has screamed past 2000 sh.!
We're forming a convoluted triple hammerhead inverted cobra snake formation, perfect for shorting, if we can get just one more trade at 42.75....
now volume has surged past 1000 sh.
It seems liquid enough to me for someone to sell short.
Maybe there'll be some more volume today....maybe at 42.75, even....
there...
100 sh. @42.75
is that liquid enough?
I think ITIC is likely to have a year or two of very poor earnings when the real estate boom dries up. That's what happened to ITIC when the last big real estate boom tanked ca. 1991. And a lot of ITIC's highest-margin earnings come from refi (I believe), so assuming the rising-rate environment continues, that will cost them earnings too.
Hope that helps. I can't say what you should do, but it would be great to have a regular short poster on the board here.
Thanks. I can only see this dropping... but how far and how fast is my question.
What do you think of the management team at this company? Can they find other avenues to generate income?
astral:
You might consider me a short poster. I am only 5' 6". Does that qualify?
are there any other small public title insurers to look at that would be short candidtates?
