Will Glen Campbell be at the beach to sing his hit Galveston? I am tempted to buy but no order yet.
Did you mention another insurance company to me not to long ago. I can't remember its name and don't want to search through all of the messages?
I am currently very vulnerable to hot tips because my treasury bills matured TODAY.
I am familiar with ORI and SUP although I have never owned them. I have some concern with ORI's involvment in mortgages and SUP's relation to the auto business, but I think they are both good companies.
AF and NM I am not familiar with. I will take a closer look at all of them.
Thanks for the info.
My boogie board is the new fold-up and is environmentally correct since it is made of biodegradable composite materials like bamboo and hemp. I think it can be converted into bio-diesel fuel when my wave riding days are over.
Since the notice of the meeting came too late, I am unable to make an appearance this year. In addition, I am not a shareowner and I would to be accused of being a gate crasher. I appreciate decorum and proper behavior from others and therefore I must behave in the same manner. Perhaps I will be able to attend next years meeting if we do not decide to make a joint tender offer for the entire company before that time.
I just called American National and found out that there's a Board meeting tomorrow. Perhaps we could drop in and say hello to Mr. Moody on our way to the beach for some boogie-boarding (if the waves are up).
It may have been ASI or ENH.
The American National Insurance (ANAT) shareholders meeting is on the 2nd floor at Moody Plaza in Galveston tomorrow morning at 10AM. Since Galveston is on Central Daylight, that's only about 9 1/2 hours from now. Do you think you can make it by then? We can buy our boogie boards there if yours won't fit inside your luggage.
The relatively low cost of living in NC is the only reason we can pay our executives so little. It is a happy coincidence that such meager pay has kept not only the father but also both of his sons in our employ.
It would save me gas money if you bought all the other ANAT shares and moved the annual meeting to S. California. (Galveston is such a long drive from Las Vegas!) It would only cost you a couple of billion dollars.
