I wrote for and have now received a copy of ANAT's annual report. I am about half way through reading it. It looks pretty good but Mr. Moody gets a bigger paycheck than Mr. Fine.
The thing that bothers me the most is the continued weakness in financial stocks generally. I am not sure ANAT can make much headway in this environment, so I am not in a hurry to buy it. I will continue to watch it.
After the market closed today I placed a GTC order to buy x quantity of ANAT at a price somewhere between $50 and $150 per share. If the market opens down 2000 Dow Jones points tomorrow I stand a good chance of having the order filled before I can cancel it. I will let you know if I have been executed and I mean that literally (actually the executor of my estate will do the notification).
Today I bought some BRKB at about $3,900. My feeling now is that there is no reason that I should not go along on the ride to Armageddon.
Say hi to the bear for me and toss him a halibut just for the hell of it. Then please post a picture of you in your Zoot Suit.
pmlljl, The bear has just entered a GTC buy order for between 199 and 201 shares of ANAT at a price somewhere between $89.99 and $90.01. You have befriended him for life with your suggestion that I toss him food.
I suppose that some day one of us will die--and cease posting (?)--leaving the other wondering what happened.
