pj:
I have today entered a day limit buy order for ANAT at $95 when the market opens Monday. I am hoping that the bear market sees fit to bless this order.
pj:
I talked to my feng shui advisor this morning and he told me that there has been a correction regarding the Chinese calendar for 2008. He said that it has been determined that this is not the year of the rat. It is now the year of the BEAR. Good luck with your ANAT orders.
My invetment committee has advised me that they are going on holiday until further notice and that they will not enter any buy orders until they return from their planned around the world voyage in a leaky rowboat.
pmlljl,
The bear is going to stick his neck out tomorrow--like a giraffe--by bidding $90 for ANAT.
pj:
The bear seems to be in full control now and he is probably not ready to hibernate any time soon. Therefore I have given up plans to buy any stocks in the immediate future. I had recently been making a few trades in COP and BP. Yesterday I sold my COP at $94.35 and today it closed at $90.75 even though oil closed at a new all time high. I am still holding the last of the BP that I bought at a loss. It appears that investors are now willing to sell whatever they can to get their hands on some cash.
Long live the bear. I will suffer with the masses with the two stocks that I still own. I think the time machine is starting to accelerate. Fasten your seatbelt!
pmlljl,
Would you ask your order to pass the lemonade pitcher to my order? It looks like they're going to be waiting a while.
pj:
My order expired at the end of the day so I will consider another order sometime soon. I may wait to see how the second quarter report looks.
pmlljl,
The bear has just entered a day limit buy order for tomorrow for ANAT at $94.
pmlljl,
The bear heartily blesses and endorses such an order!
If you get the fill, will you let Mr. Moody remain on the board, or will you take over?
pj:
I am like Warren Buffett in that I have no desire to run companies. I look for smart people who run good companies and then I just go along for the ride. I learned some time ago that investors can rarely ever make management change, so you may as well spend your time looking for a company you will be happy with.
Therefore, Mr Moody will not be replaced by me even if he does get a big paycheck.
I can't wait to see what happens on Monday, the last day of the month and quarter.
