I took a quick look at the balance sheets for ETM and RGCI. It was a quick look because I felt that if I looked any longer I might get sick. Those financial statements do not compare favorably with the ones from ITIC and ANAT. The communications industry is notorious for its "intangible assets", so these two fit right in. Best of luck to you and the bear in this venture, but I pass.
I am trying to decide if I should move to Las Vegas. My lease expires at the end of April. Would you and the bear be able to provide me with a place to stay under one of those bridges?
I didn't sell anything a few days ago when things were at their highs, including ANAT at $80. My stocks that were making me a lot of money have now given back a lot of my profits and in some cases I now have losses. I had a hunch that the volatility was going to be reduced, but now it has picked back up.
Can you advise me if now is a good time to by Satyam?
pmlljl, You may need a new wardrobe if you move here. We have long, hard winters. Not ten minutes ago, I observed on the thermometer of a car idling at the red light near our bridge that it was 62 degrees outside! It is sunny so often that the appearance of the sky is unreliable as an indicator of the temperature. (It could LOOK like a nice 115-degree day but in fact be only 60 degrees, for example.) Sometimes there is snow, too!
Summers are a pleasant compensation for the harshness of our winters. The nighttime lows in July drop below 100 degrees a little too often to suit me, but the pleasant 115-degree afternoons without a breath of wind more than make up for the inadequate heat of the nights.
