Well, it has been so long since he has been a college professor that it is likely that he was not like the modern accountants. In my opinion, ITIC's financial statements are very clean and straight forward. I think their accounting would serve as a good model for other companies.
Regarding the Texas expansion, I like that Texas has a strong economy, partly due to demand for energy, and that its political outlook is much better than most of the rest of the country.
pmlljl,
I think that expanding into Texas is a good move for ITIC to make. I lived there for a while.

I never "lived" in Texas, but I drove through it and it took so long that I felt like I lived there.
Were you a cowboy or an oil baron during your stay in the Lone Star state?
pmlljl,
Is Texas doing well? And what do you mean, politically? I don't follow anything down there.
& sorry I don't know why I wrotwe pj for pm

By politically, I meant that Texas is not liberal like the blue states such as California. Texas also has no state income tax and I think they recently reformed the tort laws that will reduce the number of nuisance law suits, making Texas more business friendly
pmlljl,
I would like to meet you in person one of these years....

I would be very happy to meet with you. However, I am having some medical problems right now. The worst one is a very sore shoulder that is probably a torn rotater cuff. I had an MRI done yesterday and will see the doctor next week. It will probably require surgery.
I will let you know when I am better and we can arrange a meeting.
