BWAH HA HA! What industry to you work in?
Insmed will NOT present any data until they have:
• fully reviewed/analysed it themselves (4 weeks minimum and they don't have it yet)
• presented, reviewed, and re-reviwed with the EMA
• the "blessing" for public dissemination from the EMA
THEN (as Insmed already stated clearly) they will target publication in a peer-reviewed journal: A process that takes at least 4 months. The Journal of Cystic Fibrosis (the journal of the European Cystic Fibrosis Society) is a likely place to place such a paper (and the conference presentation will come NEXT year).
Journal first, conference later: always.
For THIS conference. the deadline for abstracts (for getting papers into the conference) was 18 January 2013.
In any case, a likely co-author for the paper will be Diane Bilton from the London Brompton hosiptal, BTW. Insmed (IF they were smart) would step back and have outsiders (in the clinical world) present the findings - create/coach a demand "pull" from the customer base, rather than field a sales "push".
I don't believe investors (you/me) will get any hint of the "top line" data until early August. We are the least important people here. It is critical that Insmed does not F*** this up. They will if they brag about their data in the wrong way at the wrong time.
great post - michael_coen...I tried to make the point you expressed last week spoken of by CEO Lewis on at least 2 occasions-.That the company wants to get the data right and will take their time....(Lewis also mentioned this when/if they submit to the agencies that they want quality work in preparation (paraphrasing)..
Hope all are remembering all those who sacrificed this weekend....
You could be right. Do I have the correct information below?
