In the history of Insmed, their has never been a calendar year where Insmed finished higher on Dec. 31 than is began on Jan. 2. The sustained nature of this year's performance is unprecedented in the 14 year history. If Insmed is building the foundation for a return to all-time highs, then InsmHistorian will get his price target, and it's not a stretch to consider when you take into account the market potential of Arikace in multiple indications as well as the IP that Insmed owns.
I looked at the adjusted year-end prices on Yahoo! Finance for INSM. It shows 12/31/02 as 4.40 and 12/31/03 as 29.70. It shows 12/31/08 as 4.70 and 12/31/09 as 7.70. The basic chart, though, shows 2003 as a down year but 2004 as a big up year. It does seem to show 2009 as an up year. I'm left wondering what to think of those historical numbers and charts. I thought the charts (and historical stock price lists) properly adjusted for splits. The Google chart shows 2003 and 2009 as up years.
