The whole problem with sales of this technology have been the price of battery, the length of time to recharge, the advances in technology that leave the buyer with the old battery technology very quickly and the fact that when the battery is empty the car MUST be inactive while the battery charges. If you could drive up to a service station and have them quickly change you out and put in a new battery good to go now more people would buy it. You would build the cars to facilitate this and the battery as well. This way you the car buyer never really buys the battery and as new technology develops it would be integrated into the existing structure. I wish I could take credit for it but Robert Heinlein wrote about it and called the batteries shipstones. If the Chinese do this the electric car market will belong to them. I think they are smart enough to do it and in control enough to make it work. It will fix the smog problems in the cities of China and what ever country starts the manufacturing of a electric car that is cheap and sells will end up with the jobs and economic growth engine this technology will provide. To bad the U.S lost it as I am sure the further technological developments of AONE will not be shared with the U.S. , at least not cheaply. China guards her secrets well. A country's economy depends on it.
