Why A123 Systems Is A Buy And Offers 700 x 8 % Upside Potential Over The Next 3 Years
In 2000, fewer than 10,000 hybrid electric vehicles were being driven on U.S. roads, and only two models, the Honda Insight and the original Toyota Prius, were available worldwide. In 2010, more than 1.4 million U.S. motorists drove hybrids, and 30 models, from carmakers in Asia, the U.S., and Europe, were on the world auto market. Ford, the number-two automaker in the U.S., has predicted that by 2020, one of every four cars it sells will have electric power, either as a hybrid or as a 100 percent electric vehicle (EV).
I thought Ford is using LG chemical for current production.
In a fairly recent interview for "Just-Auto", Kevin Layden, the guy responsible at Ford for the electrified models said they are expecting between 10% and 25% by 2020. So, 1/10 to 1/4 produced. I think it's between 1.5% to 3% right now, so we should see some growth there. I'm not here to knock AONE, just a casual observer doing a little research. I'm really not as excited about the electric vehicle market yet. I'm probably in the wrong place to say this, but, I don't know any HEV or BEV types, personally. I wish you all luck though.
