I just read about the Greenfield closing.
I go back nearly 40 years ago when I started my print career.
At that time I felt RRD would be the best company to be with and I applied for a job with them back in the early 70's.
Because of my lack of experience at that time I understood my goals to work for them could not be meet.
Other companies did invest the time and money in me to achieve my goals through the years and I performed well.
It was early 2004 after all the hard work and closure of a competitor of Donnelley I did finally achieve my goal... To work with what I felt was the best company in the print industry.
Who would have thought RRD would be the one company that destroyed my career and since 2009 have affected so many other lives.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Everyone here has been great.
Sorry for my rant... just upset.
Age is against me in finding work, anywhere in printing.
I did sell my shares to live off of, and had no desire to short.
I did this with other investments as well.
It is a changing work place and wish all of you the best.
It was a great career.
I worked at the Cincy plant for 6 years...A lot of great people there... I hope everyone finds a new home. Fortunately I got out 6 months ago... I believe it was devine intervention.
