I find AGNC options easier to trade than IVR even though the downsides swings don't swing as deep anymore. That's because the AGNC dividend is predictable and consistent and AGNC has LEAP options available.
I am considering IVR for a long holding to collect a few divvies. I would actually prefer to own AGNC shares but because I hold so many long AGNC calls I must diversify at least to two names.
Well Tamere, if you are in I'll let my losing Ap20calls be exercised into my account on Friday and wait for the recovery. My 20's cost me 1.88 so I'll be holding at 21.88. I would think to BE soon. We'll see......I've got to stop listening to Big B. I ff. Him into HTS and IVR...both good stocks ...just lousy timing.....I hate to hold any stock....
Can't say it's bad or good. Only sayin that agnc used to be more volatile and displayed share price weakness in it's earlier days. Then one day alot of new posters appeared on the board and the stock never behaved the same afterwords. It stopped dropping below offering prices and started trading above the offering price. Some of that price stability came as a result of the steady dividend payouts. You could tell that big money was coming in to scoop up offerings.
I don't see that action in IVR yet, but we could get there.
